ABOUT

Connecting to people by way of graphics has become an essential component in conveying one’s ideas. Justin Kamiyama has a passion rooted in being the bridge that takes ideas and gives them a visual life that speaks to people in a way they understand.

Justin Kamiyama’s educational background has laid down the foundation to create in a variety of mediums. Justin received a B.A. in Digital Arts focused on two-dimensional animation. Justin also received a pair of A.A.S. degrees in Communication Design and Communication Design with Specialization in Interactive Design. These degrees developed his skill sets in the areas of Graphic and Web Design.

Justin has taken several opportunities to utilize his skill sets in the professional world. Starting as an intern, he ventured to Orlando, Florida to join up with a video production team to add animation and motion graphics to promotional videos for conferences, mission trips and ministries within a Christian organization. He then returned home to Fairfax, Virginia, and switched gears, taking his first steps in the field of design. Justin spent a year and a half with a design studio focused upon branding and visual identity via print and web. Justin was then a part of a political campaign company for three years, focused upon creating direct mail collateral that reaches specific demographics and addresses particular issues, all in hopes of educating the voting populace to make informed decision when the time comes to vote. Currently, Justin is working within a department of a company that focuses on providing print solutions of large format.

The arts are foundational to the lifestyle Justin lives both inside and outside the office. Outside the office, Justin spends his time playing violin at the church he attends and amongst anyone who cares to listen. There is a connection made between performer and listener that Justin gravitates towards and enjoys being a part of each time he picks up his violin.
